Terms
finliem is a baby day-planner run from the UK.
By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.
They are deliberately short — if anything is unclear, ask us at
support@finliem.com.
The service
finliem logs your baby's naps, feeds, solids, nappies and health events, and uses that history to plan the day and predict bedtime. It is offered to families by invitation while it grows: features will change, and occasionally things will break. The app is currently free; if that ever changes we will tell you clearly before it affects you.
Not medical advice
finliem is an organisational tool, not a medical device. Schedules, predictions and insights are statistical observations about your own logged data — they are not health advice, diagnosis, or safe-sleep guidance. The medicine log (including dose-limit warnings) is a convenience record, not a clinical system: always follow the packaging and your healthcare professional. If you are worried about your baby's health, contact a doctor or the emergency services — not an app.
Two features deserve to be spelled out. Dose-gap and daily-limit warnings simply reflect the medicine list you configure (or the defaults we ship from product packaging) — they can be wrong for your child, so check the packet and ask a pharmacist or GP if unsure. The new-food reaction note is a record you keep, not a check the app performs: when introducing new foods, follow NHS weaning guidance, and treat any serious reaction (swelling, breathing difficulty) as an emergency — call 999.
Alarms and reliability
Suggested-wake alarms and reminders are scheduled on your own device, so they work without connectivity — but they still depend on your phone: notifications allowed, sound on, battery alive. Do not rely on finliem as your only safeguard for anything where missing an alarm could cause harm.
Your account
- You must be an adult to use finliem, and you may only add a child's data if you have parental responsibility for that child or the clear permission of someone who does.
- Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself. You choose who to invite to your family and what role they get — invite people you trust.
- Anything you connect to your account (calendar URLs, AI assistants via tokens or OAuth) acts with your access. Revoke connections you no longer use.
Your data
Your family's data is yours. What we store, why, for how long, and your rights are in the privacy policy — the short version: minimal data, no third-party trackers, export everything as JSON, and deletion really deletes. You can leave at any time by exporting and then deleting your account.
Acceptable use
Don't use finliem unlawfully, don't try to access other families' data, and don't knowingly disrupt the service. If you find a security problem, please report it (see the contact below) rather than exploit it. We may suspend or close accounts that put other families' data at risk — and if we do, your export rights still stand.
App stores
When you install finliem through Apple's App Store or TestFlight, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it — support comes from us. When you install through Google Play, Google's terms apply in the same way: they are not a party to these terms, and support still comes from us.
Liability
finliem is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for problems caused by your device, your network, or third-party services you connect. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory consumer rights.
Changes and law
If we change these terms, the new version is posted here and material changes are flagged in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales; if you live elsewhere in the UK or EU, you keep any mandatory consumer protections of your home country.
